The Mothers of Invention

“One of the main obstacles blocking the road of understanding is that everybody has invented something new. In fact, wheel, powder and noodle soup have been reinvented every year since I took fly casting… and by different people, at least a couple of continents apart from each other.
It is fantastic when you don’t feel the necessity of inventing anything. So you have spare time to read, watch, understand and try to mimic what those before you had already discovered many years ago. And then you understand that, maybe, this is a big enough task to keep you occupied for the rest of your life.”
